Dear Second Grade,
I hope you had a wonderful summer and that you are looking forward to second grade! I am very excited to have you in my classroom and can not wait to get to know you! We are going to have so much fun as we learn, encourage, and support each other through teamwork!
Our first day full together is Tuesday, August 30th at 8:30 a.m. The first day is a very important one. It will be a fun-filled day of learning, participation, getting to know each other, meeting new friends and learning the rules. Please make sure you get a good night's sleep and eat a good, nutritious breakfast!
Our team mascot is the Mariner's Moose. He is in the classroom eager to read with you as a reading buddy! You will also have the opportunity to take him home one weekend and show him some of your favorite things to do!
On the first day of school, be prepared to share with your class something fun that you did over the summer. This will be great opportunity to meet and encourage your classmates!
I am very excited to begin our second grade adventure with you!
